As part of the Alumni Talk Series, the Department of Chemistry organised a talk by our esteemed Alumni, Dr. Prasanth K. S. Pillai, Assistant Professor, Department of Food Science and Nutrition, University of Minnesota, USA, on 25 July 2025 at 2 pm in the Salle Visualle Audio Visual Room. The event was presided over by the Principal, Dr. Ranjith Mathew Abraham, who honored Dr. Prasanth by handing over the Memento. The Head of the Department of Chemistry, Dr. Siji K. Mary welcomed the gathering and Dr. Tressia Alias Princy Paulose, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, introduced the speaker. Dr. Prasanth, who is our alumni from the MSc Analytical Chemistry 2006-2008 batch, holds 24 US patents and numerous international publications. He spoke about his “Journey beyond Bishop Moore” and also shared his research with the audience. Dr. Priya Mary Abraham, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, proposed the vote of thanks. After the talk there was an interaction session with the students and faculty members. The talk inspired our students and have motivated them to purse their career goals.
